Las Palmas Mexican 1601 Boardwalk

The food was incredible!! I’ve been missing Texas flavors and this place hit the spot for all of us. Excellent music and service. Our server Richie was attentive and quick. Ahmet took photos for our table and has a great eye! Thank you 🙏 Definitely coming back next time we’re at VB.

I decided to stop by Las Palmas for lunch and the food, service and atmosphere was good. I ordered the taco bowl for $18.99 (pricey for the size) and the beef was blah. Next time I will try chicken, however I would return and recommend others to check out their many spots in VAB boardwalk.

Las Palmas has a great beachfront location, and the outdoor seating is definitely one of its highlights. Dining with an ocean view and the breeze coming off the water made for a really enjoyable atmosphere. I ordered the Vegetarian A Combo from the menu, and it was pretty good — fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The chips and salsa were also a nice touch to start the meal. Service was a bit on the slower side, which took away from the overall experience slightly, but the staff was polite and accommodating. If they could tighten up the service a bit, it would really elevate the experience. Overall, it’s a solid spot for casual Mexican food by the beach, especially if you’re looking to enjoy a relaxed meal outdoors.

My friends and I stopped in here for a few drinks when we were on the boardwalk. The orange crush was really good, they offered free chips and salsa and they had a really nice assortment of tequila. Would strongly recommend them for drinks if you’re close by when on the boardwalk in Virginia Beach.

Delicious food, and attentive service. Nice ambiance with music playing in the background. They kept the chips and salsa coming, and all the food was very fresh. They've only been open 4 days- so everything is nice and new. Easy to walk up from the boardwalk.
