Las Palmas Taqueria

Nestled in the N. Augusta strip mall where Fred's used to be, you'll find Las Palmas serving up a small menu of fresh Mex; service with a smile in a cozy, clean, kitsch-free dining room. It's inexpensive, to boot. Saturday & Sunday, tamales, pozole and menudo are served. No beer or liquor license, credit cards welcome. Not to be confused with an unrelated taqueria bearing the same name in Aiken.

Very good and authentic tacos and enchiladas, quiet and very clean. No adult beverages but lots of Mexican and American sodas. Nice toppings bar for your tacos. Extremely reasonable prices.

Very fresh food, kind and attentive service, clean and modern interior. Quite different than other Mexican offerings in the area. Relatively simple, limited menu.

Wow, where do I begin. I ordered 3 tacos, carnitas chorizo and carne asada, along with rice and beans. You have to go to back of the restaurant to put your condiments on - chopped onions, cilantro, lime, salsa verde, etc. Well the condiments are frozen because the cooler does too good of a job but the salsa verde was empty and the onions were empty as well. They did bring up more once I asked. The food is maybe okay depending upon if you like traditional Mexican food. I like traditional Mexican food and I've had a lot better than this about 5 minutes from here in Augusta on Washington road. Maybe it was a bad night for them? I came in at 7:15 and left at 8:18 there was a large party in one of the boots and maybe a couple other families but there were no Mexican families. That's one thing

Best authentic tacos in the CSRA. Their meats are excellent. Guacamole is fresh made as well and excellent.
