Layers Bake Shop has been our go-to for every cake and for good reason. Their icing is magic I swear there’s some secret cream cheese situation going on. I’m not even a cake person I’m a pie person and yet their cakes are immaculate. For my daughter’s first birthday we ordered a giant sheet cake last minute and Billy was so patient and kind. The cake came out simple beautiful and absolutely delicious. People were actually fighting for leftovers. Everyone kept saying how sheet cakes are usually boring but this one was unreal. Fed about 60 people and I’d 100 percent order again.

I placed a custom order for a layered cake and the whole process was incredibly smooth and effortless. The person I worked with was warm, attentive, and truly listened to what I wanted. They delivered exactly as promise, and the cake not only looked perfect but tasted absolutely amazing!

I came across Layers Bakeshoo through DoorDash and gave their Belgian chocolate a try. I was not disappointed. It was the best chocolate cake I have tried in NYC. Just simply the best, it hit the right spots! The cake was very moist and soft and the frosting was just right. My sweet tooth was very happy 😊

I used to love Layers Astoria for their great-tasting cakes, but after an absolutely unforgivable experience, I can never recommend them again. I ordered a custom cake for my best friend’s intimate wedding, sharing an inspiration photo to ensure we were on the same page. Billy, the manager, assured me they could execute the design. The agreed-upon pickup time was 2 PM. Wanting to be considerate, I arrived way past 2 PM—only to find the cake wasn’t even ready. When I finally received it, I was stunned. It looked NOTHING like what I had requested. This wasn’t just any cake—it was for a wedding! Panicked, I reached out, hoping they could fix it. Instead of taking responsibility, Billy’s response was to blame me, and to tell me to go to a flower shop and fix the floral topper myself. Unbelie
