If all tomatoes tasted as juicy and umami as the heirloom tomatoes on the Scarlett, I would be the hugest tomato fan. The Laika did not feel any different than a lox bagel I would make on my own, but the pre-jam with fig and pomegranate when I visited the first time was spectacular. Some of the flavor combinations I would not come up on my own, so I think part of what you’re paying for is the creativity and the other part is the freshness. The bagels are very chewy overall. The toppings fall off easily (my dad and the person next to him learned this the hard way). Courage has more flavor but this feels more fresh. The line also moves significantly faster. They source their ingredients from the farmers market, so I’d recommend going for produce-based bagels.

We ADORED Layla Bagels and Coffee! We went to the Beverly Hills one. Charming, incredibly delicious original take on the bagel and more. Freshest ingredients. Amazing delicious combinations which include fresh herbs and seasonings as well as the key ingredients. The tomatoes, cucumbers and onions, the quality of the smoked salmon, and the beautiful fruit bagels with the freshest fruit and wonderful flavor combinations like adding honey to it are THE BEST. This is a casual place with indoor and outdoor seating on a fun block of Beverly Drive. Plus one more thing - the staff is super upbeat, fun, friendly, and they understand the essence of hospitality

Great spot for bagels and coffee. All the bagels we ordered were delicious even the standard bagel with cream cheese. The bagels are sour dough, freshly made and with high quality ingredients. The coffee was good and the ambience is cozy. Will definitely go again!

Layla’s Bagels is an absolute must if you’re in the area. The heirloom tomatoes were insane, genuinely the best I’ve had. Everything’s spot on. The bagel toppings are gorgeous. I wish I could eat here every day. Still dreaming about those tomatoes.

Everyday I wake up and wish to have Layla’s. This has become a favorite among my friends. I don’t know what’s different among other bagels, but it’s sooo good. The scarlett bagel is my favorite, I loveee the heirloom tomato. I also like the pre-jam as the fruit is always super fresh since they get the seasonal fruit from the farmers market.
