This used to be a malatang place. I finally had a chance to try the new bao shop after driving by a number of times and seeing it bumping with people. The bao are made and steamed fresh to order which was awesome. It was good to come with multiple people so we could trade baos and try multiple flavors. They have chili sauce behind the counter if you ask for it. It was yummy and roasty flavored. I especially enjoyed the pickled veggie and meat bao and the chengdu braised pork baos. Also loved getting the yuba and cucumber salad for some fresh sweet and salty crunch in contrast with the baos.
Delicious beef noodle soup and steamed bao can be found at this Chinese restaurant located in a shopping plaza in Cupertino. Bright, clean interior, everything is ordered at a kiosk and then picked up by yourself. Several tables to sit and eat at. Beef was well-cooked and flavorful, but the soup is really not the type for drinking, as it was too oily and spicy. Fast and friendly service. Large free parking lot.
Came on a Friday and they close at 7 pm, which is a bit early. You order at the kiosk and pick up when your order is ready. Interesting business model where you don't really interact with anyone. We pretty much ordered everything from the menu but missed snapping photos of everything. The porridge was probably the best thing they had. We tried all of their baos and they were just okay. The noodles were a disappointment though. Dry and stuck together and the sauce wasn't that flavorful, just spicy with little much else, would t order again. Their soy bean drinks felt more like milk tea than they did soy bean. Definitely on the sweeter side. Threw us off since we were expecting more of a regular soy bean drink but they were still good. Overall, I could see it being a decent option if you'
Stopped by for some freshly steamed buns and was really impressed. The buns came out piping hot . You could literally see the steam rising and they were soft, fluffy, and clearly made fresh.
I don’t know what’s going on with the bad reviews. The food is decent and tastes good.
