Left of Center Visalia

Went here Thursday around 5:50 pm. The place is not too big. It has about 7 or 8 tables, a small bar, and a space on the back (private party). Got seated right away. We ordered latin bowl with chips, hot pastrami sandwich with onion straw, and rib eye torta with french fries. All our food tasted really good. The reason for 4 stars is the long wait for our food. It took about 40 minutes. When we were paying, the waiter told us that they have a big group in the back. They could have told us when we got there so we.have a choice to stay or go somewhere else. Or maybe give us complimentary chips and salsa while waiting.

Service and food were excellent. They do offer a children's menu not listed on the menu like Mac n cheese and chicken tenders with fries. Our server was friendly and answered any questions we had. They had wine and beer options as well as happy hour specials for food. They have appetizer, salad, burger, sandwich, dinner, dessert options and more. The atmosphere was definitely tranquil. Besides our family, there were couples and small groups of friends enjoying their meal and drinks at the establishment. We enjoyed the meals we ordered and finished it with their different flavored cheesecakes that were $3.00 to $3.50 a piece. Will definitely return to try more items from their menu.

Went here on a Friday evening. Place was pretty packed. Parking was a little tight since there's limited parking, but you can also park on the street. We were a party of about 9 for a friend's birthday. Service was very attentive, friendly and prompt. I ordered their Shrimp Taco plate with a Serrano Cilantro Margarita drink on the side. The margarita was very refreshing with a nice hint of spice and zest. The shrimp tacos were really good. The chipotle aioli adds a nice touch. I also tried their nacho plate that was good. Overall, a good experience. I think they need to work on the aesthetics of the interior, specifically the big room, but the food and service were really good. Definitely worth trying. Menu posted was August of 2023, and I believe their menu is seasonal.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and pretty good food. Our table ordered a variety of dinner items but my rib eye was definitely the star of the show. Perfectly cooked and covered in a deliciously sweet and smoky sauce. The prices were fair and the location was nice and accessible.

Absolutely love Left of Center! Always the best service, food, drinks and atmosphere. We celebrated a birthday tonight and Sarah was our server. She went above and beyond for us! Highly recommend the Jalapeño Burger with sweet potato fries, but ultimately everything has great flavor and delicious. Do not hesitate to have lunch or dinner at Left of Center! I only wish they were open on Sundays.
