This is the best Thai food I've ever had. The portions are generous and the flavors are amazing! I am obsessed with the veggie noodle tofu dish. It has a variety of fresh veggies and the tofu is lightly fried to perfection. You can get dried chili flakes on the side if you're sharing and not everyone wants it spicy. It's located in an area with decent street parking near multiple bars if you want a drink afterward. It's a perfect date spot because of the cozy atmosphere inside and the lovely lady who owns and runs it- she will have you leaving with happy full bellies and a big smile. I really appreciate her food, friendliness and being a quaint staple in my neighborhood. Old Portland vibe for sure. Check it out- you won't be disappointed! :)
My husband and I tried lemon grass for the first time last night. The food was authentic and delicious, albeit a bit spicy.🌶️ This quaint little restaurant is ran inside of a home and 100% of the service, cooking, and serving is done by this adorable little Thai woman. She is hilarious and fun to talk to and really makes the experience what it is. She no longer has the help of her husband as what I’ve heard is he passed away… So if you Plan to go to the restaurant it’s always nice to give her a phone call ahead of time and let her know what food you would like to have and what time you will be there and she will have the food prepared when you arrive. Otherwise, you may be waiting for a while for your food and it makes her a bit nervous. I promise you it’s worth the wait if that’s what you
Overwhelmingly delicious. We got the Kow Soy Gai and the Garlic Basil Vegetables, both with chicken, and both were amazing. I can't stop thinking about the Kow Soy Gai broth or the breading and sauce on the garlic basil chicken. The woman running the place is an absolute treasure, and I would say that even if she hadn't brought me a second cup of crayons to draw with lol. Check out the gorgeous stained glass, she makes that too! Please forgive the mid-eating poorly arranged photo, but you're lucky I was able to get a picture at all. Make sure you call ahead to get a table, and know what you want to order before you get there.
This was my first time here. And although there was only the Cook working, she was very accommodating to make sure we got a delicious meal in a hurry. The drunken noodles were amazing and the pad Thai chicken was also delicious. I'm a fan of pad kee mao and all the veggies. The spice is real here too. So good!
Back in the 90s, Lemongrass was head and shoulders above the rest. Today they are still at the front of the pack, with the most flavorful Thai food I've ever had. Other places have upped their game, but nobody's caught them. The veggies with garlic and basil remains the gold standard for me.
