Leonardo's

We hadn't been to Leonardo's in over 15 years so it was time for another visit. Happily, the interior design has not changed. Red padded booths with mini juke boxes. Black padded walls keep the noise down. Leonardo's is a local favorite. Many clientele have probably made this a staple since the 60s. The place was packed. We got a large meat lovers pizza. Price was higher than Tomasos. Sadly, the pizza wasn't great. Crust was thin and tasteless, only a few notches above store bought frozen pizza. The cheese is tasty but very little sauce. Sausage and pepperoni were OK. Good service.

This is a super cool place!! Highly recommend if you’re in the area! I felt like I was in a 70s mobster movie!! The service was phenomenal and the food was too! My husband and I shared the bacon and cheese fries and an individual pepperoni and sausage pizza! We were super stuffed after eating just those two things! So glad we visited while on vacation! Would definitely come back if we are in the area again! Only critique I have is there was a bit much sausage on the pizza for me, but it was still super delicious…also love how it was crumbled instead of big chunks!!!

Best pizza. Stromboli, beef and onion with fresh diced tomatoes. Always stop if we can on our way through the area.

My grandparents got engaged here, my parents told my grandparents they got engaged here. My family has been eating here for decades and generations. I no longer live in Iowa but LOVE coming to this preserved gem when I come home Everytime! I love this place, it’s neat and quaint and full of memories for all of us! You can enjoy pizza and great drink options here!

What a cool atmosphere, with lots of history! I was here for lunch on a Saturday, so it wasn’t very busy. The pizza was very good, and prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back the next time I come through Cedar Rapids.
