FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! I ordered baked wings through grub hub for my mom that's in the hospital and we DID NOT receive baked winds. Instead we got Buffalo wings. WTH are we supposed to do with spicy wings that she cannot eat. I am beyond livid. I called the restaurant to explain what happened and she nonchalantly said yea they're cooked in a Buffalo sauce. Well ma'am Nowhere on the site does it says that. Bake wings to me does not equate to Buffalo in the history of soul food. She offered no resolution. A waste of my money and time as my mom cannot eat it and I do not eat chicken. They need to update their menu to state unbreaded Buffalo wings as most common sense establishments do Not Baked Wings. And also I never received the corn bread I ordered with my fish dinner.

I had a hankering for soul food and decided to try here. Upon entry, I was optimistic and was happy with all the menu choices. I decided on the fried flounder, mac n cheese, yam souffle, collard greens, banana pudding and a slice of birthday cake flavored cake. My order took about 10 minutes to come out. The food overall was good but not the best soul food I've ever had. The flounder was seasoned well and hot, the mac n cheese was so so, yam souffle was delicious, they (and I) forgot my collards. I didn't realize it until I got home, so I just charged it to the game. The banana pudding was homemade, it seems, and not that instant pudding stuff. The birthday cake was also pretty good. I would try here again just to see the variety.

A friend of mine had told us about this place, so while we were in Durham for an appointment, we decided to swing by and check them out. Definitely was not disappointed! I tried several items from their menu and all had amazing flavor and the right food temp. Their fish and chicken tenders. The season is out of this world!! I also had chicken and dumplings, collards, and yams… i’m not usually wanting to clean my plate and I always have leftovers, but this time I have nothing!!! The service there is top-tier and the food gets out quickly! (Paula)

The young lady who served me was really nice. Well very respectful. If I'm not mistaken, I got the hamburger steak that day with gravy, mac and cheese. Oh my God it was so good. It didn't look dirty. It appeared to be fresh. Oh, food can look dirty Price was also decent for the amount of food that I received. The parking was kind of tight

Our food was too salty. The service was good, staff were friendly and we had a good portion of food, but I just couldn't eat it! I ordered hot and honey tenders, cabbage and collards mixed, and garlic mash potatoes. It was all too salty. My husband ordered chicken wings and pinto beans. The chicken wings were good, but the pinto beans were salty! Oh the cornbread and banana pudding was good too!
