Lil-Tex Restaurant

Well this place is usually amazing, but when I most recently went the food wasn’t even warm when I got it. The catfish is usually so full with just the right amount of breading, but this time I barely even got any catfish this time, almost more crust than meat, everything was just about cold and I just waited to eat it until I got home. Hope next time it’s like before.

This was a nice find. Great little hometown restaurant with a laid back mom and pop feel. The waitress were running like I've never seen. They were all over the place making sure everyone was taken care of and getting what they ordered. The food came out fast considering how busy they were. Had the 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, grits, home fries, and toast. Everything was yummy but the home fries weren't my favorite. Over all this is a wonderful little places that makes you feel like family. We'll definitely be back soon.

Comfort food, plenty of seating, W/C, limited parking, friendly service.

We had the all you can eat catfish. Honestly we only had one serving. They give you a huge helping of catfish & hushpuppies. The staff is very sweet & helpful! Melissa was amazing! The sides we had was the pinto beans, Coleslaw, baked potato, they were all good. We also had cherry cobbler for dessert, very yummy! The whipped cream tastes homemade!

Sunday..ordered the chicken fried steak from the suggested meals for the day. Portions were good but the chicken fried steak was tough as shoe leather and needed seasoning. The meal was terrible and I won't be back anytime soon. I like to support local restaurants but not if they can't prepare food properly.
