Lime Tiger is a part of the Asian food wing at Ponce City Market. Their menu consists mostly of vermicelli noodle bowls and rice bento boxes with whatever protein you want from the list. I got the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl. The food is all freshly made and you can even watch them cook and put your meal together right behind the window. The amount of food was perfect for lunch. The chicken was flavorful and the whole meal felt very fresh. It isn’t the best vermicelli bowl that I’ve had especially at the price point, but definitely worked for a lunch. Since it is part of a food court with other restaurant options, it is also a great place to go with friends and family where everyone can get things from different places to share and try everything!
Really just not worth it overall. The portion is incredibly small for $16, and the food really is not that good. I got the Laotian Sausage bento box, and I noticed the rice was actually dry in places. The sausage was okay, but the portion provided wasn't very big. Would highly recommend going somewhere else, especially considering how long the wait was for this (~20 minutes).
The bento box was okay, I would have liked cooked vegetables. The sauce with the rice was pretty good. The boba was undercooked though, the tapioca was hard in the middle :/
I had my first Vermicelli Bowl at Bún Mì Vietnamese Grill & I’ve been chasing the taste since. Sadly they are closed but Lime Tiger’s will be my new go to place next time the craving hits. Their BBQ Pork bowl is so flavorful and the portion size is great for the price. I’m glad I gave them a try. I will be back.
Some of the least authentic basil beef I've ever tasted. I expected Thai birds eye chillies, thai basil, and holy basil sauce like a proper pad gra prow and I got jalapeños and Italian basil. I have no idea what the sauce was. It tasted OK but not like holy basil sauce.
