We love Lemoncello and come here several times each month. The experience starts with Alan, the valet, who parks the car. We sit at the bar and the staff (Devon, Lexie, Bernadette & Diego) are friendly and welcoming. The bar is about 20 seats and we can usually get seats but it is more challenging on the weekends and during the season. Their bread service is amazing - warm crusty bread that is soft inside with EVOO, salt and pepper. They have nightly specials and we ordered the veal to be shared and have to admit it's one of the few things we wouldn't order again. The serving was small (that's normal for veal) and Elizabeth doesn't care for olives but Ernie said the olives made the dish. Go figure! Their pastas are amazing - especially the special each night that's tossed in a chee
I am so very disappointed with our experience at the restaurant tonight. We ordered the snapper and instead of the potatoes with green beans, we wanted 2 vegetables…green beans and spinach. I was told I could not get that but I could get pasta instead of potatoes. I said my husband would have that and I would have green beans. The waiter indicated it would be an additional side dish of pasta. I agreed. We waited for the meal. when our caesar salad arrived we were not offered pepper, cheese etc and no one came to the table until our entree arrived. The snapper came with a side of bland pasta and no vegetables. I asked for the vegetable and was told none was coming. Rather annoyed I went to another waiter and asked for a manager. 20 minutes later I asked someone else for a manager.
We finally dined at Limoncello, thanks to our next-door neighbors, who thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate my birthday together. Even on a mid-week night, the restaurant was bustling, so reservations are highly recommended. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at our outdoor table. The fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and drinks was a delightful start as we browse the great variety of entrees (regular menu and specials). We opted to share the Polpette (meat balls) and Insalata Di Bietola (Beet Salad) as appetizers, which turned out to be a great decision since the entree portions were generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our entrees: Fettuccine with Mushroom and Shrimp, Gamberi Fra Diavolo, Linguine Vongole and Dover Sole. Despite the busy evening, our meals
The food, the inside ambience, the attention to detail to the service was above par. Our waiter was very attentive and took care of our dining experience. I will say however that the front of the restaurant (outside) needs more attention. The bushes are dying, the front sidewalk is dirty and riddled with old chewing gum, yard debris and other assorted trash. We will be back for their exquisite menu and the “cheese bowl” experience, but please take some time to clean up the entrance. If the outside was an impeccable as the inside this place would be remarkable. Attention to detail with the little things goes a long way. This is a true family restaurant with a delicious bolognese recipe from Bologna in Italy and this makes it worthy of a repeat visit.
Read the other 1⭐️ reviews! If you like to get so drunk you don’t care what comes out of the kitchen, this place is for you. We used to come every year when I’d visit family. This is the last time. I ordered the pasta of the day. THE Daily Special. The noodles were stuck together, dry, and flavorless. What made it worse, they gave me the traditional pasta dish. when I was expecting the hot melty cheese wheel masterpiece. When I brought it to the attention of our server, he gaslit me into thinking it had been cheesed, until I lifted up my plate to show him the bright red sauce. He brought me grated Parmesan. I’m pregnant , and just so let down. My mom’s clams had shards of shell on them, she almost chipped a tooth, my dad’s chicken parm was dry and hard. The best thing was the water and sta
