Had an incredible experience at Little Donna’s! The pierogies are absolutely outstanding the lobster pierogi and the original are hands down the best we’ve ever had. Service made the night even better. Our waitress, Susannah, was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She took the time to walk us through the menu and made sure we felt completely comfortable. Because my wife is pregnant and I have dietary restrictions, the sous chef, Mallory, personally came out to help us. She highlighted the best options, explained every substitution, and ensured each dish was safe for us, an above-and-beyond level of care you don’t see often. Exceptional food, thoughtful service, and a team that truly cares. We can’t wait to go back!
Such a homey place. The pierogis with the sausage and the kraut were the highlight of the meal. If you’re in a group, I recommend getting a few things and sharing with your party, everything is very unique and thoughtfully made. The pies are a must….
Drove from DC to Baltimore just to visit Little Donna’s and it did not disappoint. Every part of our meal and service were exceptional. We arrived just before 5pm for a walk-in table. By the time the doors opened, there were already several other couples in line waiting. This place is legit and I’m glad we got there early! My husband and I split the tavern pie (amazing) and had the lobster pierogis and schnitzel as entrees. Absolutely delicious and perfect. Such flavor and depth in these dishes; I especially appreciated the chowder sauce on the pierogis. For dessert we had the brownie parfait which was a perfect end to a delicious meal. Highly recommend and don’t forget to get an orange crush (or two) with your meal!
We are lucky to have this gem in Baltimore. Every single thing on the menu is a must try - creative, well executed, and satisfying. I love dining here because you get unfussy comfort food that somehow hits like a Michelin tasting menu. The service is always excellent, a cross between being in your living room and a chefs table. No other place manages to combine this level of elevated style and down home comfort, all while honoring the tradtions of Baltimore and the cultures and families that make this place home.
We had reservations and we're seated right away. Service was friendly. One of the tables next to us had a missing appetizer. So when they brought both of our appetizers out, they gave them our perogies, we had to wait another 15 minutes for the one we ordered. I think everything was delicious, but the perogies were bland. I've had this dish before and it was so good last time. The toppings were fine but the potatoe filling and dough had no flavor. I really like the smoked trout dip. I wish the tavern pie was in the oven an extra minute. Overall we had a nice time. It's worth a visit.
