Customer Reviews
A five star restaurant for Sichuan food - one of the best in Boston! Foods are delicious and fresh. Recommend dessert menus as well. Atmosphere is cute and young. Serving is friendly. Restroom is clean and roomy. On the way, kitchen is open for one to have a peek and looks neat. The location could be tricky to find if you drive as its located on the narrow Commonweath ave branched off the main ave. So make sure you drive into the branch ave between the subway railroad and buildings.
To be honest, I really don't think this is restaurant-level SiChuan cuisine… From the dishes I ordered, they are clearly following the idea of making Chinese foods, but ended up being homemade level dishes. I ordered 蒜泥白肉 and 粉蒸牛肉, and they are definitely NOT supposed to look and taste like this from my 20+ years experience living in China. This is only from my personal perspective, and they were being pretty nice to me, but I definitely don‘t love their dishes.
Tasty and satisfying. I really like their Tao Tao noodles, I wonder what kind of vinegar did they use, it was very refreshing. The 钟水饺 tasted exactly the same as the ones I had in Chengdu ten years ago. I’d say their food is genuinely authentic.
Sichuan cuisine is super popular but I’ve been reluctant to try it because I cannot really handle spicy. However, I decided to give it a try with my friends and was very surprised that the spiciness wasn’t too bad. Well, I’ve requested very mild. To my surprise, I absolutely loved the food here. Each dish had its own unique bold flavors. Definitely a must visit!
This place was ok, not great. The noodles with beef was probably the best dish we had. The dumplings are surprisingly sweet (didn't enjoy that) and the beef with potatoes is tasty but get ready for the texture of the beef, it has a lot of tissue and tendons.
