We hosted our wedding at Loch Lyme Lodge and couldn't have asked for a better spot. So many guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and that's even counting the cold snap on our wedding weekend that brought the temperature down to 35 degrees F at night! The cabins are really cute and comfortable enough, with several having fireplaces or extra insulation. The venue worked with us to prepare heaters for as many cabins as possible and even though the cabins were not really meant to be stayed in when the temperature was that low, it was a fantastic weekend and our guests loved the beautiful venue and we loved having everyone (66 guests) on-site and able to spend the weekend with us, which is exactly what we wanted out of our wedding. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a h
Jay and Amy are the most gracious Inn Keepers. I’ve been coming to Loch Lyme Lodge for over 20 years. If you like a touch of the rustic (with your own cabin in the woods), with live music weekly and great food, you will want to check out this gem of a family getaway with a beautiful lake and the entirety of the stars and the night sky at your disposal. Truly a relaxing, lovely place that’s convenient to many of Vermont and New Hampshire’s local treasures including hiking, maple sugar, golf, quiet, and the heavenly sounds of loons calling out both during the day and in the early evening hours. It’s an experience that will leave a lasting, positive memory with you—and you might meet some new friends!
We held our wedding at Loch Lyme Lodge, and it was absolutely perfect! The atmosphere and stunning views made for the most beautiful setting, and having all 20 cabins available for our guests made the entire weekend feel so personal and special. J from Loch Lyme Lodge was incredible—attentive, responsive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly.||If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines breathtaking scenery with warm, attentive service, Loch Lyme Lodge is it. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate!
My husband and I came upon this place by accident. We booked it for one night and loved it so much we stayed for 4 nights. Our cabin was called “Poplwood” in the woods on a hill with partial views of the water. Sitting in our screened in porch at night playing board games was such a refreshing change of pace. We had 2 fireplaces one in the kitchen one in the bedroom. Believe it or not we had 2 chilly nights and we used them. So romantic. Wood and kindling was provided. We fished at sunset off the dock. They do provide row boats, canoes and kayaks no charge. They had a pizza truck one of the nights. Breakfast every morning the veggie omelette was fantastic. One morning I ordered it over the phone my husband went down to pick it up but they brought it up to us. They had an evening with a blu
An unusually authentic experience in rustic cabins by a pristine lake with good food and a friendly community feeling. A real find in this day of cold corporate hotels. Yes, it might seem a touch pricey but the amenities well justify the cost - from kayaks, canoes and even a little sailboat for everyone's use, ample picnic tables, music by the lake on some evenings, tennis courts, trails, and more, right on the property. A small beach for the kids and great swimming for all. Abundant birds from loons to orioles. Some of the cabins have basic kitchens so you can cook for the family but you can also eat on-site or in one of the many nearby restaurants. Fresh produce in local shops. Even near a few museums if there is bad weather. And of course, King Arthur bakery, not to be missed!
