Log Country Inn Bed & Breakfast of Ithaca

If you find yourself in the Ithaca area, bypass all of the local hotels and head 15 minutes outside of town to the Log County Inn. It’s worth a few extra miles. We spent a lovely four days with Wanda, her sweet dog and family. We were treated to incredibly delights breakfasts, different every single day. Highlights included apple pancakes, potato pancakes, cheese blintzes, fresh fruit, and wonderful local breads. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Our room (the Polish room) had a Jacuzzi bathtub fed by natural sulfur/mineral springwater, wonderful art and a comfortable bed. It made it a really lovely getaway. It is priced incredibly affordably. In fact we encouraged her to increase her prices because it is really such a wonderful space to stay. The main house is beautiful as well, and

Beautiful location, tucked away in the forest. We saw wild turkeys, a couple foxes, toads, and plenty of deer. Our host has flowers planted all around the property. There's a small pond out back, little walking trails, a hammock, a playground, and a couple of fire pits. Star gazing along the dirt road beside the cabin was a clear and bright experience. Delicious polish breakfasts are prepared fresh every morning for guests per their requested time - 8am, 9am, or 10am. Dietary restrictions are asked about and taken into consideration. Our host was extremely knowledgeable about dining, hiking, fresh markets, and wineries in the area. So if you have a question about what's good in the area, just ask. We stayed in the Balcony Room. Rustic elegance...on a dirt road...yet, so close to so, so much! This place is a gem. Wanda's delicious breakfasts will nourish you for the incredible Ithaca hiking adventures. I've visited twice, recommend it constantly, and will be back fir Fall foliage. Best thing: Dogs are welcome!!

We spent the last 2 nights of our Finger Lakes road trip here. This was our 4th B&B and the most expensive. The breakfasts were delicious and you could have as much as you wanted: blintz, potato pancakes, scrambled eggs, bread, fruit, etc. We had trouble in our room finding enough (and close to the bed) outlets for our chargers. The bathroom was very tiny but our room was fine. However, the bed was too high for me. I had to hold onto the bed frame in order to get into the bed. We were in a different building from our friends so we had to walk back and forth in the dark.

I stumbled on this bed and breakfast when I was looking to stay in the area last minute. What a gem! It's pet friendly and I left my dog off leash to roam. She loved how much room she had and so did I! Wanda was wonderful, showing me everything on property and making me feel welcome. Breakfast was also amazing. I am definitely coming back! Wanda gave me recommendations for hiking, like where to go, which entrance, where to park, and which trail to take. Her advice was sound and we had a great time! This is one of those places I will come back to any chance I get. Do not hesitate, this was the best find! I travel a lot, I've been to 99 countries so far and this is in my top 5 favorite places to stay. Cannot recommend it enough.
