Update: biased against children facing hardship and denied the ability to check out books. Original post: Abysmally loud. Staff member using an electric leaf blower right outside the structure, people yelling at the top of their lungs on the phone, two dozen plus kids screaming and shouting right at the entrance - just, bad. Coffee shops are quieter than this.

This library is impeccably run. An excellent selection of books, a clean and professional looking building, nice looking art on the walls, and an area where you can quietly read or play games or whatever else. Theo was absolutely incredible and patient helping my 5-year old daughter with obtaining her first library card. He answered her questions and showed her how to use the kiosk. Keep up the great work Lompoc Library! 🥰

Library is good, but I think we might have gone on an off day. Staff was less than friendly. It was disheartening because I have always found peace at the library and my kids didn't get that experience here.
