Los Andes Restaurant- Ponte Vedra

I was excited to eat peruvian food since we do not have any near my hometown. This is a small casual place, nine tables at most, and you can choose where to sit. We were greeted by a friendly host upon entering and our order taken and prepared quickly. I ordered the fried seafood platter (Jalea de mariscos). Unfortunately, it was mostly fish, a few calamari, two mussels and four small pieces of fried yucca. The zesty red onions that accompany the dish was a small amount. I also ordered the house version purple corn drink (chicha morada) and did not like it. I ordered the bottled versión instead and it was better. Overall, friendly and quick service but my meal was average because it lacked variety of seafood this platter offers. Alcoholic beverages are available here.

We stopped by this restaurant after a day at the beach. Looked forward to some Latin American cuisine, especially an Argentine Padilla. The ribs tasted a bit dry for my palate. Merlot needed some airing out. Definitely get the chimichurri sauce, delicious with the BBQ.

Wow. Where to start! First, Albany and Alejo were amazingly friendly and knowledgeable for two first timers to the restaurant. We not familiar with some of the dishes as we hadn't tried Peruvian food before. Boy have we missed out on life before this day!

Dinner is as extremely good I wanted to try something new this Latin restaurant did not disappoint me! I had the Rice with Shrimp & my husband had the one with Chicken & Steak the veggies were freshly cut! Rice was seasoned well! Definitely will be a returning customer! The empanadas look good too full to try the portion size was good!

I had the pleasure of visiting Los Andes twice in one week and let me tell you... I could eat here every single day and it would never get old. The new location was super comfy and you felt right at home. Everyone is always so nice and friendly and it makes you want to stay even longer and order even more food. I can't speak highly enough of this food. Seriously. It's incredible. Give me one of these empanadas and some delicious sauces every day and I will die a happy woman. The flavor on the chicken was out of this world - and the cook on it was perfect. The sauces are spicy, so buckle up - but you'll love them. Especially with some rice or plantains. I promise you'll be happy. Come check out either location and you will absolutely be making a second, third, fourth, etc. trip back!!
