Lubin's Classic Bakery

Unfortunately, this bakery has been issued a Stop Sale Order by the state due to failing a recent inspection. As a result, they are not permitted to sell any food items until they meet all required standards and receive clearance from the state. I used to enjoy visiting this place, but I strongly recommend waiting until they are officially approved to resume operations. Food safety matters, and I hope they take the necessary steps to reopen soon.

I had a friend bring me a few items from Lubin’s and I must say the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and the fish cooked to order. The portion sizes are great for sharing or leftovers.

I should have known something was not right when they gave my blended pikliz. who puts pikliz in a blender? Anyway I can't speak to everything on the menu but I can say the fried fish was so, so, SO, so dry. and the black rice was not good, it was black in color but didn't have the right flavor.... like either they didn't cook it was the black mushrooms or coconut.... also they use some weird long grain rice. the thing that topped the cake was I got a $20+ platter and these ninjas gave me 3 slices of fried bananas like it was a garnish 😂. look elsewhere, this is not an accurate representation of good Haitian food. love supporting small businesses but this ain't it. if you're looking for good black rice, fish, or pikliz you should pass on this place. I bought the fried turkey (Tassot Dinde) along with the Diri Djondjon (black rice), and it was undeniably delicious, moist, and well-seasoned. However, I felt that the portion of turkey was insufficient considering the price. The rice was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Due to the small amount of turkey and the lackluster service, I can only give this place 4 stars.

I wished I read the reviews before purchasing there. I arrived 10 min before closing. They were kind to me. However the food tasted nasty. The rice was hard, tasted like someone just learned how to cook. The turkey tasted better than the rice.
