Lucita's Pupuseria

Absolutely authentic Mexican and Central American food: you can tell by the numbers of Latinos that frequent this place. As a fan of street tacos, I started there. They do NOT disappoint. Delicious. Fresh. Filling. Next time, I sampled pupusas. These lil hand helds are tender and delicious. I sampled bean, spinach, jalapeño ingredients and found only favorites. Pupusas are a don’t-miss, as well. Unexpected surprise: I typically don’t pay much attention to rice and beans. They are a pretty standard, bland affair. Not here. Theirs are simply the BEST I have ever had. I practically licked my plate of beans. The rice was surprisingly moist and pleasantly interesting in flavor. Aguas frescas are a fun Mexican concoction. Grab a Jamaica— made with hibiscus and soooo good.

Absolutely delicious! We tried Lucita’s Pupuseria last night and were blown away. The chicharrón and yuca fries were crispy and fresh, and their salsa had the perfect balance of flavor and spice. I had the mixed pupusas—super fresh with cheesy, meaty goodness in every bite. My friends got the Pupusa Loca and wow... it was massive and packed with flavor! To top it off, their agua frescas were super refreshing and perfect to cool down. Funny enough, they showed up in our office parking lot today—so of course I had to go back! This time I got the Cali burrito and carne asada tacos. Everything was just as good as the night before. The tacos were made with handmade tortillas, and the carne asada had amazing flavor. Fantastic! So dangerous having this so close to home as it’s just that good. Tried a bunch of things and everything was so tasty, fresh and authentic. You can tell they take pride in their dishes and serve flavor packed experiences that I need to make a regular occurrence. Friendly staff, awesome vibe and priced perfectly. Many thanks!

Went in on a Friday night with three coworkers, sat in a cozy booth. Tried some apps and pupusas with zucchini, beans and shrimp. Everything was delicious (took some home, reheated nicely). Robert was our server and he was super hospitable! I fell in love with curtido, can’t stop thinking about it.

Love it here! We moved but had to come back to visit when we were in the area. The Chicken Quesedilla meal is delicious!! Hubby loves the tacos.
