Luigi's Pizza

My wife told me about Luigis and I had never been there! We ordered 2 pizzas a sub and the Spaghetti and meatballs for the family! I told them when I got there it was my first time and they hooked me up with a free square of lemon cake! Everything from the ordering to the pick up was perfect! And then there was the flavor! I'm very very picky about my Italian foods and it was phenomenal! The pizza was 9/10 the Spaghetti was 9.5/10 but that sub was easily a 10/10! The lemon cake was exactly that a lemon cake! I loved it! Tag on the fact that it was affordable as well and the whole experience was a 10/10!

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE ALL OTHERS! I ordered from this place because the other options were 1.5 to 2.5 hours wait for pickup. I thought it odd that it was the normal 35 minute wait. The reviews here show it having a high rating. Don’t believe them - they all must be fake. Because this is the WORST pizza I’ve ever eaten from a pizza restaurant. It looks like one of those pizzas that you buy from a grocery store and heat up yourself. And the two pizzas I bought were both cold upon pickup. And get this - I ordered two pizzas and the second one was in a bag. They fed me some line that it was better. But both pizzas were cold so I couldn’t even tell. This place is horrible. And you will be better off waiting 2 hours for a decent pie than order from here.

My family and I have been a huge fan of Luigis since before I was born ( I am 54) and this place has the best pizza (tavern style) in the area. I used to eat it twice a month until I moved to the other side of town. I really miss this pizza. It's a family run pizza place with the owners personally making the pizzas. They do have a menu with non pizza items as well, and all those items are fantastic also !!!

After living in Chicago for a few years, I moved back to South Bend, and the pizza options around just haven't been the same. But then I tried Luigi's. A little out of the way for me. I've finally found that excellent cracker crust I've been missing! Generous sauce. And they used fresh mushrooms. This is the pizza I've been looking for!

We got ravioli and stuffed shells. We also got rib tips to share. Excellent food. It was hot and delicious.
