I have truly been missing out. Me and the family have been in for luch two Sundays in a row and strongly considering making it three. Very inviting and quiet with just the right amount of music playing. All waiters have been very pleasant and helpful. Can't forget the food. Food came to the table in a timely manner and was absolutely delicious. Had the Luigi's special and salmon florentine. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and truly the most authentic in town.
I wish I could give them an 8 star review! That’s how amazing today’s experience was! Charlie is an exceptional individual who catered to my needs and was incredibly kind to my mother and I. The dish he made me was fabulous and bursting with flavor in every bite. I will definitely be recommending Luigi’s to anyone I talk to and my friends and family. Incredible!! Thank you so much!!!
The restaurant is in Old Town adjacent to the Concho River and Art Museum. This combination can make for a nice afternoon walking around San Angelo. Also lots of parking and spacious dining rooms. The lunch-time chicken Marsala is very tasty and a great value. I ordered a side of olive oil that was jazzed up with garlic, basil, etc. and this went well with their complimentary bread. Just fantastic! The house dressing is great with the salad. Now, this is my go-to restaurant when I visit San Angelo.
One of my favorite local pizza places! Great quality and doesn’t make our stomachs hurt. Also, good price for the size. I love that the pizzas are huge and we can have leftovers the next day. My favorite pasta dish from Luigi’s is the tortellini à la pana 😍 I have yet to really try another pasta dish because I can’t get away from this one! Staff is super attentive and so friendly.
I had gotten the combo plate. It came with one shell, half of a manicotti and the smallest piece of Lasagna that I've ever seen no meat as it said it did.The dish was full of sauce and cheese. No, real substance. The ricotta in the stuffed shell tasted raw and very gritty. The manicotti was stuffed with mozzarella, not ricotta, like it should. The Lasagna was swimming in so much sauce that it literally just fell apart. I had asked for olive oil and balsamic vinegar instead of communicating with me that they did not have balsamic vinegar. They brought me distilled vinegar that is ment for cleaning. I can see why this is the dying restaurant.
