Luke's Italian Beef

This use to be the best sandwich in Tucson. I was surprised how dry the meat was and how stale the bread was. The French fries use to be double fried to a perfect crisp. Now they are barely done. Like so many places the prices go way up and the quality goes way down. This was about a month ago we were here. Since then I have made the best Italian Beef we ever had piled high and dripping with Au Jus and vegetables in olive oil and crinkle cut fries. For the same price that we paid for 2 sandwiches 2 French fries we got 8 sandwiches and 8 baskets of French fries. And no angry young girl taking our order. Don't need to go back.

Extremely fast drive through experience, indicative of non 'made to order' sandwiches.... but even so it was amazing. Lots of meat, fresh spicy peppers. Exactly what I was craving- a hot and juicy meat sandwich with quality bread. Pictured is the combo with hot peppers and cheese dipped.

Still the best Chicago dogs you can get. Don't you dare use the ketchup, that's there for profiling purposes only. The fries are nice and crispy, perfectly salted crinkle fries. The service was fast! Friendly. The place is nostalgic and very homey feeling. Was able to enjoy a meal and get some work done on their wifi.

I had a great experience at this place. By all means it is not fancy. But the food is fantastically wonderful. Luke, himself is awesome. I met him and he’s a really nice guy.. I tried the food and had a Chicago dog with french fries and a beef sandwich. Both were spot on and super delicious. I will be coming back.. If you like Italian subs, sausages, or beef, try this place, you won’t not be disappointed with price and taste
