Lula's Latin Cuisine 2

I ordered mango with salami, cheese, and eggs over easy. What I received was a creative interpretation of that order. The salami was undercooked in the center, the eggs were very much over-cooked (the yolks were firm, not even thinking about running), and the mango usually comes with onions — apparently that memo didn’t make it to the kitchen. I’m all for culinary freedom, but when I order over easy, I expect the yolk to at least attempt to blend with the rest of the dish. Sadly, it stayed put. Good flavors overall, but the execution missed the mark this time.

I should’ve asked prior to ordering the chicken chunks if it were made with chicken breast or dark meat. Unfortunately I thought it was the usual white meat but I was wrong. Other than that the quantity was well served and the food was good. There are certain items that require a few minutes to make out of the menu. The service was well and the location was clean. They have a few outdoor tables.

Food was okay. We have definitely had better from here. My husband could tell off the bat that your chef has changed. The rice was hard and grainy and the bistec encebollado was way too tough. Also I ordered three cheese empanadas and received one that was chicken and super dry. In the past nothing was left over this time cant say that.

If you ever wonder where to get Dominican 🇩🇴 food in Bergen county, there is absolutely no need to drive all the way to Manhattan. All one got to do is stop by Lula’s Latin Cuisine in Lodi. You will not only get an absolutely delicious food by an amazing host/owner, Reimy and his team. I had the privilege of stopping by tonight to finally get one of the specials rabo guisado (oxtail stew), white rice with black beans for takeout. Upon arrival, their small parking lot in front is shared with another establishment off the busy Essex Street. It’s a small establishment with a great selection of food. There were some seatings by the window, but predominately takeout. Their price was reasonable and portion size decent. The food was tasty, well seasoned and delicious as a sign that they put love

I love sancocho, my favorite food, the sancocho taste good, but to paid $17.00 for a large container and found 2 little pieces of meat, a small potato1corn and a lot of soup liquid its ridiculous.
