Lula's Latin Cuisine

We ordered two sancochos with white rice to go. We never call to compliment the delicious food but this is sancocho done right! It was on-point, a lot of meat, corn, yuca, platanos. So, if you want authentic Dominican sancocho go to Lula’s. My compliments to the cook!

Have ordered from here for years, never again. I made an order, got a call that they didnt have yucca, no problem. Got the order 30 minutes later than projected, food was cold and half the order was missing. I called to ask thinking it was forgotten, but no they dont have chicken, rice, or beans and just neglected to tell me when I ordered. Never again.

I would like to talk about their service.. this restaurant has really bad customer service regarding ordering food to be picked up. I ordered food in a day advance to be picked up the next day on specific time because I had to travel a hour away with the food and when I get there to pick up the food it was’t ready. Supposedly I had to wait a hour more for my food to be ready. when I ordered the food the lady specifically told me that in order to make sure it was done on time I had to paid in advance, which I did. This isn’t the first time that it’s happens to me at this place. I requested to speak to the manager and they placed me on hold for 7 minutes to tell me that the manager wasn’t there which I knew they were lying. I felt like they didn’t even care how upset I was. VERY POOR CUSTO

My family love's this restaurant as a Puerto Rican woman with mixed children. They have everything and anything we could imagine. It's good for a family eatery or if your looking to have a bite by yourself. Also added bonus you can have drink while waiting for your food. Of course I can not forget the deserts are delicious. A perfect way to end your meal with. The staff is more than helpful and accommodating.

Lots of choices of delicious Dominican fare. Service was OK. Smoked Pork Chops were delicious. Yellow Rice has veggies in it, and the Black Beans were so good. I'm not a big Beans person, but these were delicious. Hubby was disappointed that it was very liquidity, almost soup like, but that is how I prefer it LOL Oxtail was flavorful and tender. Again, Red Beans were too liquid for hubby's taste, but I loved it. hehehe We found this restaurant because they opened a new location in Lodi, just as good. But it's a small location, so there no sit-down space, which is why we came here to sit and eat.
