Madhouse Coffee

Was there for a late breakfast. About 10:00 ish on a weekend. The shelf was almost empty. A few bagels and 2 English muffins left. Ordered a muffin toasted with butter and jam. Along with black coffee. Food was bused to my table. The muffin was clearly hand made, sour dough. Very rich with both butter and jam on it. Was a good thing to have the black coffee. Either butter or jam would have done the job. Butter will show case the muffin better. Place is old and cozy. Has both indoor and outdoor seating.

I came here because I checked the good reviews this place has. But I have to leave a bad one. I ordered a caramel macchiato and a spinach quiche to go. The coffee was good but THE QUICHE WAS TERRIBLE. I couldn’t eat it, i had to spit out the first bite right away. I don’t do that with food, this is very rare for me. But this quiche tasted very old!! and the lady that gave it to me basically recooked it on the microwave. The coffee is okay but I DONT RECOMMEND EATING THE FOOD HERE. NOT FRESH. The place wasn’t very clean and tidy either. Didn’t look as good as in the pictures.

The proud cafe of Brisbane! Seems like everyone knows one another when you’re in here. It’s very wholesome energy in this cafe. Noise is a decent amount in case you’re trying to work on laptop or take meetings, but great for meeting up with friends or just hanging out.

Tasty Cappies served here by Natalie. Can't beat good coffee served in china by happy person. Cool little building too. Free WiFi here. Great view down Visitacion in the cute town of Brisbane. 100% worth it to stop by Madhouse Coffee.

Very well crafted espresso drinks, including a cappuccino that was not just a small latte, which is unfortunately rare these days. Cool place, nice location, cozy patio.
