A beach that’s perfect for bird watching, a walk/small hike with beautiful scenery and kids beach play. My kids used to take field trips to the Malibu Lagoon State Beach when they were in pre-school. They had such a wonderful time! The parking is paid parking and can be a bit hard to find based on when you arrive. Usually it’s not bad in the mornings. Enjoy!

Nice lagoon, probably nicer to visit in Summer (for the plants/flowers,was there in December). Cheap parking with 1$/h. A lot of birds and hermit crabs! Worth a stop.

Expensive parking. Difficult to get in busy seasons. A moderately long walk to the beach. Sand has a lot of wood debris. Best to walk with shoes. Beautiful ocean but, unlike the Carolina beaches, there are large rocks in the water. Riding the waves could mean a bump on the head. LOL Bigger waves allow surfers some options. All in all, loved Malibu Beach.

Absolutely beautiful today. Point Dume has plenty of parking. Both free and paid however you should get there before 10:00 am. The hiking trails is about a 5 for toughness however, there are stairs to climb if you are an advanced hiker. Today, I even saw mountain climbing. Very safe and clean. One restaurant is right at the beach if you are hungry. There is a location area directly on the beach you can rent for a wedding. Great place to bring out of town guests. Dog-friendly, and restrooms if needed.

We love Malibu! This was our first visit in a long time but we were in town and wanted to enjoy the sun. We were lucky to get a parking spot on the street right away. There was also paid parking for $15. The lot was full but seemed like a lot of in and out but once on the beach we were able to find a nice spot. Be forewarned there are no bathrooms but there is a Jack in the Box across the street. Also if you get a chance the Malibu pier is near by so check it out.
