Pulling up to Malolo’s B&, I didn’t know what to expect; The street was nondescript, the house solid but plain. |But then Chef George greeted us, surprising us with leis! We were welcomed |into a comfortable home with whimsical South Seas/Samoan decor. Our large room was spotless, the bed just right, the shower strong.|Chef George served us fantastic breakfasts & we got to try Samoan dishes! | But it was the warmth & generosity of our hosts, George & Dave that made the difference.|I miss them.

A Stay We’ll Never Forget – More Than Just a Bed & Breakfast Chef George and David were, without a doubt, the highlight of our entire trip to D.C. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like part of their family. Their warmth, generosity, and attention to detail turned our stay into something truly special. As someone with a black pepper allergy and a vegetarian diet, I’m used to navigating limited food options while traveling—but not here. Every single breakfast was thoughtfully prepared to meet our needs, and beyond being allergy-safe, everything was absolutely delicious. It happened to be my husband’s birthday during our stay, and they went above and beyond—surprising him with a handmade card, a thoughtful gift, and even a birthday banner. It was

George was fabulous! Welcoming and hospitality on point. Wonderful breakfasts and different each morning. Even made us a cocktail when we'd had a long and strenuous day, very kind and thoughtful. Room was very warm, comfortable and had everything you'd need. Bed was comfy and bathroom lovely. Quiet and spacious. Location is in an up and coming area, but at the moment, it's not in one of the more established or desirable parts of DC. It may feel a little rough around the edges and doesn't reflect the typical DC experience visitors might expect. Having a car is highly recommended, as public transportation in the area may not be the safest option. Affordable option for a 3 night stay.

Perfect place to stay for my solo excursion to DC last weekend. George and David were great hosts and I thoroughly enjoyed all our my interactions with them. The food was great, the room was super comfortable, and everything went perfect. Thank you George and David

I have to say that my stay at Malolo Bed and Breakfast exceeded all expectations. I was in Washington for a conference and decided to stay outside of the downtown core for a slightly different experience. What I didn’t expect was the warm inviting hospitality that George and David provided. From the very first communication, George was so helpful and friendly! They helped me with ideas of things to do and places to eat. Told me tons of amazing stories about DC. I also really loved the morning breakfasts each day. My room was very spacious and even bigger than in pictures online. I slept so well! I have been to Washington before but this is truly the most memorable trip.
