The service was great! I love local family restaurants and the classic foods. You definitely have to try the chicken salad sandwich.

The food was good. The pancake was so delicious! The restaurant is super cute inside. They were really busy when I went and the food was great so it makes sense. They have outside seating if all the inside waiting area is full. Menu prices have been updated with a slight rise so the menu in the reviews is not 100% accurate. I got a basic breakfast but I look forward to coming again to try something different.

My ham and cheese omelette was really good. The service was great. Comfort food done well. Will be back to try more menu items.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Closest thing to a real diner you’ll find around here.” Mama Katie’s is hands down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to in a long time. It has that perfect blend of homestyle cooking and diner-style comfort that’s hard to find in the Cornelius area. We actually drove out here because there just aren’t any true diners nearby, and it was absolutely worth it. I ordered the Backwoods Benedict — a biscuit with sausage, poached egg, and country gravy on top (you get two of them) — and it was amazing. I also got hash browns with onions and cheese added, and they were cooked perfectly. The French toast was delicious, my girlfriend’s omelet was great, and everything tasted fresh and hearty. The bacon was probably the weakest part of the meal (about a 6.5/10), but it was still
