A neighborhood gem! Tried the salt and pepper chicken, dumplings, cucumber, Lu rou fan, and bamboo shoots with shredded pork. Everything tasted fresh, and not too heavy or salty. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! Mama Lee is the sweetest and it felt like a home-cooked meal, especially her soup, which she gave to us as complimentary! ❣️
The service and food were impeccable. I believe it was owner, Mrs. Lee who served us herself. We ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, which was fantastic and the Lou Rou Fan, which was also out of this world. As someone who’s lived in NYC for 4+ years, the customer service went above and beyond. Toward the end of our service, our server gave us extra beef broth for our soup, tea, and the BEST egg tarts I’ve ever had — free of charge. Definitely, hands down the place to for the best all-around experience for Taiwanese food.
Sweet chill place for Taiwanese food. Loved everything, especially our waiter. Service crew was young but nice. We ordered a lot and the food came surprisingly fast. The portions were unexpectedly big. More generous than usual NYC restaurants. Great values! We’ll surely come again.
At a higher price point but very nice space and superb friendly service, @mamaleeofficialrestaurant in Williamsburg serves you home cooking style Taiwanese food! Still heavier and more oily than at home, but the way they were prepped reminds you of a home cooked meal and warms your heart!
Great restaurant with very nice staff. It feels very homey. The vegetable dishes are pricey and basically the same price as meat. The favorite was the chicken soup and the fried pork chop. The braised pork over rice is definitely a good bento/meal though. Would be excited to get lunch bentos from here moving forward.
