Had a great dining experience, with friendly service and tasty food - my favorite was the Juicy Pork Dumplings. They had a great texture on the dumpling skin, and super succulent and juicy inside! I also loved that they had hot tea and peanuts ready upon seating. It added a nice touch, as well as the updated interior and spaciousness of the place. The Hot & Sour Soup was also delish!

Stopped by Yi Kou Fu and ordered mostly classic, home-style Chinese dishes. Everything was solid and consistent — not a hype or destination spot, but a reliable choice when you’re craving Chinese food nearby. The soup dumplings came out hot with decent broth and lightly seasoned filling, tofu dishes were tender and comforting without being heavy, stir-fried greens were clean and well-balanced, and the fried items were best enjoyed fresh and crispy. Service and atmosphere are pretty standard, food comes out at a reasonable pace, and overall it’s the kind of place you can come back to without worrying about being disappointed.

Came here for a casual dinner and was blown away by the quality of the food! The xiaolongbao were perfectly steamed—hot, juicy, and full of flavor. We also tried the spicy wontons and fried buns, both were delicious and well-executed. The hot and sour soup was comforting and full of depth. Service was friendly and efficient, even during peak hours. Definitely a solid spot for group gatherings or a comforting meal. Will be back! This place never disappoints! First time @ a dumpling house and I wouldn’t want no other restaurant for my first tome experience!! From the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out the ambiance and service was A1! Our waiter Johnny was super sweet, welcoming and recommended us some of the good dishes in the house. Everything I had was on point with flavor but I have to say the juicy pork dumplings and the soup filled Shumai were my favorite. I can’t wait to bring my family back! Mama Lu’s Dumpling House is such a classic! If you live in LA, you’ve definitely heard of it — from DTLA to Pasadena to Tustin, it’s everywhere. Finally tried it myself and totally get the hype — big portions, great prices, consistent flavor, and zero misses! 🥩 French-style beef tenderloin — tender, flavorful, slightly sweet with that Hong Kong café vibe. 🐟 Steamed cod with black bean sauce — perfectly cooked, silky and savory. 🦪 Scallops with XO sauce and glass noodles — unexpectedly amazing! 🥟 Signature soup dumplings — thin skin, super juicy, absolutely delicious. Great taste, great value, and that comforting old-school charm that makes you want to come back!
