The most authentic Dominican 🇩🇴 food that I have ever had in all of Brooklyn. I wish I can give them 7 stars! The first reason being is the flavor/seasoning. It is rich in flavor without being salty or over seasoned. My second reason, there is such a huge variety of options to choose from. They have all the typical protein that you’re craving for on any particular day. My third reason, is the price is absolutely unbeatable. I mean, they offer incredible prices despite the current state of our economy. They have a couple of options for dessert as well whether that’s pastry or ice cream. Good amount of seats to dine in. Been here 3x already. This is definitely my go to spot whenever I am in Brooklyn. I shared some videos below so you can check it out.
Had the rotisserie chicken and the yellow rice (moro) with beans. The chicken was well seasoned but very dry. The rice tasted very old like it was cooked with old/reused oil. Maybe I had a bad batch but the food was almost inedible. Service was good so I hope this is not common for the restaurant.
I went during the Puerto Rican Day parade. The restaurant is pretty spacious and has spots to sit and enjoy your food. The food was not bad. The portion size was pretty good and filled me up. It was just mid and I’ve had better Dominican food in terms of flavor and everything. Also, I tried the flan and it was okay. It wasn’t as sweet as I’d like it.
20230927 - Didn't know anything about Dominican cuisine but I was certainly drawn by the aromas of the rotisserie chicken walking past the store in the morning The chicken was adequate The fried pork ribs a little dry The servings were big What I liked was that the lady in the store was kind enough to go to the back of the kitchen without being asked to get the chicken fresh from the oven as those on the counter had been there for a while
Classic Dominican home style dishes. Great service, fresh food. It is always a pleasure to have a lunch there. Keep it up!
