They are served extra large bowl. I share my with my wife and it's plenty food. It has a lot of meat and noodles compared to the other pho restaurant. They serve another entry but I prefer the pho.

We frequent the shopping center at least once a week and never tried this place because we are not a fan of pho. We happened to be in the right place at the right time and decided to try it for a bahn mi and some vermicelli. We walked in and found the staff so welcoming and the atmosphere was beautiful and so calm as compared to the hustle and bustle of the shopping center. I was impressed by key questions, as we ordered vegetarian (are peanuts okay?) and when served, they also confirmed vegetarian selection (even for the dipping sauce!). Again, I cannot say enough at the politeness of the staff and the quality of the food. Would absolutely go here again. In our opinion, it is a hidden gem! The one thing I felt could be improved, was my Diet Coke was served from the bar and didn't h

Mama Pho is a nice looking Vietnamese restaurant in Ala Moana mall. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The pho was the normal large proportion that you would expect with pho. The amount of meat in a serving was a goodly amount. But it is a $30 serving so it is correctly proportioned. The staff were friendly giving their broken English. They did seem a little uncomfortable serving haole and preferred to spend time at and speak at length with those that talked their language. No offense taken on my part. But others might not think the same so this is a warning. Now to the part I didn't like. Pho is about the broth. Mama Pho's broth was average at best. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. So I'm conclusion if you are craving an ok bowl of soup while shopping at the mall then th

Good location, and the restaurant is nice. Pho was okay and portion is small for the price you pay. Not the best bowl I've ever had and not the worst. The garnishes (bean sprouts, etc.) did not taste fresh. Do not get their Vietnamese Taco Crepe (Banh Xeo) as it tasted sour. My guess is the the milk used to make the crepe was spoiling. Fish sauce that comes with it was okay. I ate the crepe anyway as no one came to check on us at all while we ate, and I was hungry. The two entrees were not enough for two people. By the time someone came to check on us, we were basically done with our meal. Overall, service was slow and lacked attentiveness as we had a pile of dirty dishes that never got picked up. The staff was not rude, but they weren't friendly either. Unfortunately, I would not go again

We came on Mother's Day which is actually the mr's bday and since we celebrated the day before I didn't mind coming here on a whim. We were at the mall returning stuff when we decided to give Mama's a chance as every other restaurant was packed for Mother's Day. Mama's was not. I used to go to their other location do was curious to see if there were any differences. The restaurant is large and for some reason, we were seated all the way in the back. We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls. They came frozen inside. They were returned, apologized for and another batch came out fully heated. I assume they are pre/made and frozen, and fried upon order. We were not charged for them. The broth to both pho's we ordered were good. They have their own chili oil/paste that even mild is hot so beware.
