Mama's Meatballs & Pizzeria

Best cheesesteak in South Jersey. Might be the best I’ve ever had and I love Dalessandros in the city. So I came here for the pizza and the meatballs before like everyone else. It’s fine. But one day I wanted a cheesesteak and didn’t feel like going to my usual, so I ordered at Mama’s. The online ordering was easy. The wait times are generous. I live around the corner and I don’t wait long after getting there. Juicy steak. Obvious ribeye. Generous/heavy portion. Non-seeded rolls. Lots of options. Fire. Every single time. 🔥🔥🔥

This was our 1st time visiting Mama's Meatballs. It won't be our last but, they do need some improvement on their service as far as when an order is placed not to give part of your order to another customer in error. The cashier gave our pizza to another customer and when our order was ready cashier then notice he had gave our pizza to another customer. Then when he told us about it we had to ask for fresh fries because the ones that had been waiting were now cold. But, other than that incident the cheese steaks we ordered we amazing! They were filled with steak and cheese and their seeded rolls were very crusty on outside but very soft inside. The fries were also very hot and tasty. The cheese steak pizza was ok not bad it just was not good as their cheese steaks in my opinion. I will say

Looking for the best cheesesteak in New Jersey? You'll find it here! Freshly sliced Argentinian ribeye, Cooper Sharp cheese (perhaps yellow, not white?), and fried onions on a fresh, in-house made seeded roll. I don't give out 10s, but this is as close as possible to perfection. Meat perfectly cooked, tender and juicy with slight carmelization. Soft, sauteed onions that basically melt without needing chewing, and a decent amount on Cooper sharp cheese mixed throughout with just the right amount of seasoning. I've tried 133 shop's cheesesteaks so far, and Mama's Meatballs is easily in the top 5, and number 1 anywhere conversation!

These folks here know how to serve up some fun, quality speciality slices which I actually prefer to the namesake meatball. There's plenty of menu variety here with friendly staff and a neighborhood feel. Wish there were just a tad more seating options - the menu here is robust enough to warrant it.

Things happen... ngl. I had a rough experience in my only visit. Drove home to find I had the wrong order. Took it back, and almost walked out with another wrong order. 😩 What a rough start. Finally get the correct order, get home, and I wanted to hate the food. But, babyyyyy, the food was amazingly good. Cheesesteak was husky, flavorful, and the roll was soft. Pizza was delicious and I always only get plain (personal preference). All in all, I will be back, but when that happens IDK.
