Mamma Lucia of Silver Spring

This spot is a gem truly I wish I could give 10 stars! The service was amazing, our server was Luis. We loved the ziti and chicken parmigiana it was cooked perfectly and the pasta was so good. This place has both great pizza but a very tasty restaurant as well. Even the dessert was so sweet and tasty. My boyfriend loved the shrimp appetizer he said the sauce was out of this world for the shrimp. Great place for vegetarians too.

Luis, our waiter, and the staff were amazing! Luis is knowledgeable, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. The food was delicious and they give great portions. I recommend this place for an all around great experience.

We really like mama Lucia’s except that we found a penny in our pizza tonight. It was baked into our “Mama’s Special” pizza under the cheese. Similar in size to the pepperonis or olives so I can see how it would be missed. However, they really shouldn’t be putting money on their pizzas. Not a great business practice for a multitude of reasons.

As always great service makes a meal even greater. While the food was excellent the service made my experience so wholesome and fun. Luis was a greater server and not only did he hit my taste buds right on the nose he was fast, energetic and very sweet. I will surely be coming back. The shrimp were awesome!

We went in around lunch time on a Saturday. The setting was nice and quiet, there was a small crowd. We were seated immediately by a nice young lady. We had an older gentleman as our waiter who made us feel like family. He made many recommendations and was very polite. Our food was brought out fast. My kids all got a kids pizza which they devoured. I ordered the vodka sauce (pasta) , and added some chicken. It was absolutely delicious. I live in Frederick, but if it was closer, I would absolutely be a regular here.
