Mamma Lucia’s Pizza and Mamma’s Bagels

I wish I could give this Mamma Lucia's location ZERO stars. WHAT KIND OF PIZZA SHOP DOESN'T HAVE ANY PIZZA? This is the 2nd time I've come here and they don't have any pizza. Why even keep the doors open until 9 pm if you don't have any pizza at 8? I NEVER have this problem at the Silver Spring location, and this is literally TWICE IN A ROW I've come here at 8 and they just shrug their shoulders and say they have no more pizza. Here's a brilliant concept for a pizza restaurant...MAKE MORE PIZZA! JUST MAKE ANOTHER ONE! It's inexcusable. So now twice in a row I've wasted my time and gas driving over here for this complete clown show of a pizza shop. How are you not embarrassed? Why isn't management doing something about this location?

The pizza is great. And there is one person who is just joy to interact and be helped by. I think her name is Donna. But she is wonderful. So happy they are doing well as I live in Chevy Chase and this is prolly one of the best pizza places around the circle.

We just had an unexpectedly wonderful meal here. The eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza were all delicious. The two main dishes came with a tasty salad along with bread with olive oil and Parmesan cheese spread. It’s mostly a takeout place with just a couple small tables, but the atmosphere was made warm and welcoming by the outstanding service of Donna who went out of her way make sure our every need was addressed with an endearment and a smile. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

This review is specifically for a worker there named Donna. My co workers and I mistakenly ordered food for pick up at the wrong location. Donna offered to have it delivered to our office. 40 minutes later, no food…Not sure why the delivery driver went all the way to Virginia instead of Bethesda, but I spoke with Donna again who apologized for the inconvenience! (even though the original mistake was our fault). In the end, she offered to cover the bill and let us enjoy our meal. As for the overall delivery service, I don't know how to react. Anyways, I really appreciate the customer service from her!

I live across the street and have fallen in love with this place! The food is SO good and the staff/service are AMAZING! I get a personal pizza at LEAST one night a week.
