Mandala Restaurant - Tibetan, Japanese and Indian

Amazing and exotic experience. From the vibrant colors and tibetan aesthetic you know the owner truly cares about his culture and wants to share it with us all. Very clean resturant with friendly service. We had a great conversation with the owner and his family while enjoying our meal. I will definitely driving the 1 hour 40 mins from LA to visit again. The Tibetan food was amazing, order the momo soup or other tibetan adjacent foods for the best experience.

They have just opened up this month for breakfast hours, and we had a fantastic meal. I am vegan (my wife is not), so it’s not easy to find a breakfast place where I can have a nourishing meal. I ordered the traditional Tibetan porridge which was great, especially after having a little bit of honey added on top. As always, the service was perfect. We got to sit out on the deck in the shade of an umbrella, but also enjoyed the mellow summer sun. My wife had the anmazing egg rice bowl and a delicious mimosa and they even offered her the chance to try their sake bloody Mary. That was yummy as well!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I was at an event here,so the menu was already decided, but everything I tried was delicious. It's a little funky inside, kind of a mom and pop place, but everyone was super friendly and the service was great. My friend and I were only drinking water, but the waiter was still careful that we didn't run out, which impressed me because water is free and it's usually the last thing on a writer's mind. I want to go again and order a meal, so I can really describe what is so good.

Delicious food and some of the friendliest folks running the place. Every ingredient in our food felt so fresh, we really enjoyed our lunch here. Highly recommend Mandala if you're in or around Ojai.

Excellent all around. Went here after a theatre show, and the service was welcoming and attentive, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Will definitely be coming back here whenever we’re in town!
