Customer Reviews
We are visiting from NYC for the month and were craving thai. We got carry out and were so disappointed. If you've been to Thailand or had authentic Thai, you know chicken larb has fresh mint, lime, and cilantro. This was simply over powered with raw red onions. The currys both were overpowered by cumin or some overpowering spice. It was so disappointing. Not sure how the reviews are so high. Either they haven't tried good authentic Thai or it was an off night for us, but unfortunately we won't be back. Reply: yikes! This reply confirms this restaurant is not good. Of course there are cheap Thai restaurants in NYC, but there are also amazing authentic places, it's New York City lol. Sorry to offend you, but we were very disappointed and it's our right to share feedback. Good luck!
Ginger rice tempura chicken was a hit! Thought the crispy pork belly was good b ur a tad too sweet for my taste. Really liked the coconut custard over sticky rice. It’s a cozy comfortable place but seating is limited.
Finally a local Thai place to eat in or take out! It's modeled after Bangkok Street food and decorated accordingly, which brings a unique vibe to Charleston's mostly 'high end' restaurant scene. The wings were a great appetizer, but the pad Thai was so good that I couldn't stop eating it! It looked like normal pad Thai until you taste it, then you realize it's special. I'm excited to go back and try some of their duck dishes.
The drinks here are to die for!! My Coconut thai tea was just so delicious, I've really never had anything quite as good as it. My pad thai was nice and flavorful, noodles were maybe 13 seconds overcooked, just a tiny tiny bit on the softer side but it was close enough to the correct consistency. The dish was a little more oily/saucy than Im used to but overall it was very good, especially for South Carolina food.
Lovely first time dining in here! Very excited to have a Thai restaurant so close by. Everything was really quite delicious- pineapple rice (served in a pineapple!), yellow tofu curry, Vegetable Pad See Ew, and an absolutely scrumptious Bangkok Duck Noodle Soup. Mixed app platter A was fun, if not quite as excellent as our entrees. Our server was kind and accommodating when we asked to move outside. Definitely hole-in-the-wall vibes, which isn’t a negative. Kinda charming rather. Don’t miss out!
