Manhattan Beach Public Restrooms

Located right next to the pier, these public restrooms are a lifesaver when you're spending the day at the beach. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. One of the standout features is the availability of showers. After a long day of swimming and sunbathing, it's great to be able to rinse off the sand and saltwater before heading home. There are also water fountains available, which is perfect for staying hydrated. And if you're in need of a pay phone, they have one of those too. Overall, a great spot for beachgoers to freshen up.

Right next to the beach, as you exit back to your car, there are outdoor showers below the restrooms or above outside them, facing the beach. Unfortunately, these showers didn’t work. Many tourists were pushing them one at a time, wondering why they weren’t turning in. I was in dire need of a restroom break, so I went inside. The women’s restroom was so disgusting that I immediately walked out. However, I did notice a shower area to the left inside, but it looked equally unpleasant. The floor was covered in sand and was thoroughly wet and disgusting.
