Manjal Indian Cuisine | Best Indian Food in Ridgewood, NJ

This place used to be really good. Recently when I order Chicken Tikka Masala they send butter chicken instead. Either they changed chefs or are running out of CTM and trying to pass butter chicken off as CTM. Second time this has happened. Won’t be giving them a third chance. I mean look at how orange that is…

Our favorite!! Compliments to Chef JAMES. The Tandoori Lamb, Ck Tika Masala, Biryani, Rosemary naan, the fresh Okra. Highly recommend for dining in or take-out. Couldn’t take any more photos - bc we ate everything!

Delicious butter chicken, rice, naan, and mango lassi — everything was flavorful and great value for money. The restaurant is conveniently located next to Whole Foods. After spending the GDP of a small country on groceries there, it’s the perfect place to recover with a fantastic meal at Manjal Indian Cuisine. (Or eat here before shopping… and you might spend less.)

We wanted to try something new for Father's Day. So we chose Manjal. Food is not up to expectation. Sorry to say. My honest opinion. The only thing that was served hot was the tandoori platter. But the masala's were not incorporated well with the meat, and there were raw masala too on top. Biryani was ok. Mysore masala dosa was ok. Chicken 65 was too dry. Felt like everything was like made previously.

I ordered a paneer takeout lunch special. It was delicious and a great value for the money. The samosa was nice and crispy with whole pieces of veggies instead of mush inside. The palak paneer was well flavored and you could actually see the spinach in the dish unlike some places that blend it to green sauce. I appreciate getting both naan and rice with it. I will definitely be back.
