Maple House Bed & Breakfast

The Maple House Inn is a quaint retreat from the hectic world. Because of its location in the remote woods of Rowe, MA you're able to escape city noise and just unplug. The house itself boasts lived in old country charm that oozes comfort and hospitality. The walls are decorated with all types of unique artwork that make an antiquer feel at home. The hosts are a friendly husband and wife couple who make you feel welcome when you arrive. They provide breakfast items in the kitchenette for easy breakfast or snacking. My favorite part was the unique layout of an obviously old inn that has been through history. If you are looking for a clean room with a friendly and welcoming owner, This is the place. Rebecca is full of interesting facts and history about the area. The breakfasts were home made and incredibly delicious. There is a lake close by with lots of hiking trails going around the lake and through the woods. The back room has a fire place were we enjoyed a bottle of wine and a crackling fire. (Real wood, not gas) The house is off the beaten path, so plan on some driving for your outings to get food and/or go shopping.

This was our second visit and we very much enjoyed it. The antique farm house is unique and charming and the grounds are beautiful. It is extremely peaceful. Rebecca and Michael are wonderful hosts, full of great suggestions for all sorts of things to do and experience. We love the Mohawk Trail in the Berkshires. It is a true vintage experience with contemporary touches. Maple House is situated to make trips to Mass MoCA, The Clark Museum, Shelburne Falls, Multiple parks and trails, easy. Even a drive through the countryside is enjoyable! Rebecca's breakfasts are delicious.

I love the village of Rowe. In fact this trip was to view a house as a summer retreat from super hot Arizona(we are in the process of buying it - yay!). ||The Maple House is a beautiful old farm house which actually was a guest house way back when it was built. I love local history, and there are plenty of magazines and books on the history of this little town to borrow. There are also games and cards available in the guest living room. For a town that has sketchy (at best) cell service and extremely slow dial up connections, getting back to actually playing a game with my husband was a nice way to spend a couple of rainy nights. ||Our room (as all guest rooms) was up on the third floor. Consisting of two twin beds pushed together, with a futon-like sofa and chair, it was plenty room

I chose Maple House B&B as a stopover on our way through from Lake Placid to Martha's Vineyard. Rebecca advised that we should eat before we arrived as there is nothing in Rowe, so we did just that and arrived after dark, and it is very rural. Having said that, Rebecca is a fine host and made us welcome and, even though the rooms available are on the top floor, it is a charming, characterful and comfortable and familiar-feeling B&B that made us feel immediately at home! The beds are comfortable and the facilities more than adequate, but would suggest that young children would need to be supervised with the proximity of stairs to the rooms.||Breakfast was, dare I say, epic, with nicely prepared and tasty hot option, in our case, a huge breakfast omelette with mushrooms and crispy bacon, pl
