Mapleton Library

We enjoy coming here with my daughters. They love reading and playing on the rug, which I really wish was just cleaner (not allowing people to have their shoes on it), as many small kids love laying on it. Also, I personally love that they’ve added a section of Ukrainian books in the kids section!

Pros: working equipment, everywhere was cleaned, a lot of books, nice location Cons: unfriendly staff, turned off a computer despite the fact there were many free computers. I didn't finish my work and not could not log in again. I'm Never coming back.

What happened to the books? This library has plenty of space 2 floors tons of computers and tables but hardly any books. Gee I know society has gone digital but some of us still like actual books. I guess nobody reads physical copies anymore 🤷

It's opened on a Sunday, a rarity for a BPL. It's relatively clean and quiet but can get packed after-school. Probably not the greatest place to get work done but a great deal better than the nearest Starbucks. Bonus: My mom comes here a lot to use the computers and print and says that the staff is very helpful and patient with her.

I love the library and have basically spent my childhood there. I often take my sister there to borrow new books to read and such. However, the last two times I've gone, there has been mistakes made regarding checking in the books I returned that visit, where one book would still be marked checked out even though I had just placed it in the return basket. The first time it happened, I called the library because I found out when I got home. The lady on the phone was very nice about it and we had the problem solved in no time. However, I went there today and it happened again. I finished checking out the books I wanted to borrow but the screen changed before I could print a receipt, so I went online to check my list of checked out books. Lo and behold, a book I returned was still in my check
