Margaux

I had the opportunity to visit Margaux Restaurant this past weekend and experienced the full arc of their hospitality — lunch, dinner, evening jazz, and breakfast. The first photos are of their duck. The skin was beautifully rendered, leaving the meat tender, clean, and full of flavor. It was paired nicely with vegetables and a bread-like savory cake that complemented the richness of the duck. I was also pleasantly surprised by the generous portions. In the evening I tried the lamb — two beautiful bone-in lamb legs that made for a very substantial serving. It was rich, well prepared, and more than enough to share with my family. The oysters (second photo) were excellent as well — clean salt-brine flavor, fresh, and very enjoyable. Overall it was a memorable experience, made even better

Thank you for absolutely crushing it last night for our VIP Hot Cocoa Bar + Igloo experience (in the Margaux Lounge and outside in the domes). From my very first interaction with Jas (GM of Margaux), to Phil’s thoughtful follow-up, to Hannah greeting us right on time, to Katie wrapping up the evening—your service was exceptional every step of the way. Everything was ready ahead of schedule, perfectly executed, and truly exceeded our expectations. The details matter, and you nailed them: domes were warmed, the signage, the setup, and especially the extra touch of securing a stencil so our logo could be on the house cookies—so fun, and so appreciated. I know this was a simple, smaller event, and we’re grateful you took care of it with the same excellence and attention you’d give an event

I had my absolute last meal in Grand Rapids here, capping off two years of living in Michigan. This city brought its share of challenges and good times, and choosing Margaux for my final farewell was the perfect choice. The duck confit was done properly—classic and delicious—and the crème brûlée was on point. I highly recommend their lunch menu.

Dined here for the first time for my birthday. I was treated so kind. The servers were super attentive and I was able to talk to the Chef about the cuisine. Perfect spot for special occasions, or even a date for yourself ❤️

Really amazing food. Atmosphere was amazing. Staff was very nice. This restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants in my life. Can’t wait to come back again. Ten out of ten.
