Mariscos Costa Alegre Gilroy

Today was the first time here for my husband and I, and we can say we had an amazing experience. To our surprise, at almost 1pm on a Saturday it was not overly busy and there was no wait time to be seated. The customer service was great, everyone was friendly and nice even other customers around us. The tables next to us got bussed very quickly, everything was kept very clean and presentable. Our food and appetizer came out very fast. The food was so amazing! There was even a young man coming around taking pictures of us (and other tables), printed & framed them and offered them for $20 each photo. Ended up buying 2 framed photos from him! We will definitely be back again soon 🤗 it was an amazing experience all together!!

I've stopped by multiple times now, and the service is impeccable every single visit. The staff is always on top of things--no dirty dishes left on the table--and our birthday celebration con la vaca was truly appreciated! lol The food is consistently good, and they have a wide menu with great specials. Definitely check them out! This is the nicest location. No wait during the weekdays but up to 45mins during weekends. (Though I do wish they still offered 50% off all the sushi like they used to!)

First, we sampled a shrimp soup which was flavorful and a bit spicy. Then, we shared an order of Sushi Pura Vida. It was very good, it tasted like a Mexican California Roll made with shrimp instead of crab. For an entree, I had the Camarones Crema. There were lots of shrimp in a rich, creamy chipotle sauce. My friends had the grilled bass filet and Tostada Tuna La Isla. Both were good, with fresh fish.

10/10 service! From out of town and saw this restaurant from the freeway. On our way back, we decided to stop and eat here for lunch. Absolutely no regrets. Food was fantastic. I ordered the sushi costera which happened to be $6. Great deal! The owner even approached us to ask how everything was and was so kind. We celebrated birthdays and they made it so special! I will never stop talking about this place because of my experience and recommend it to everyone!

Had a great experience at this spot. The food and drinks were solid, but what really made the visit stand out was the service. Our server Laysha was attentive from the moment we sat down. We were greeted with a great attitude, she actually made helpful recommendations, and checked in at just the right times without hovering. You can tell when someone actually cares about your experience, and that was definitely the case here. The drinks were brought out quickly and were well-balanced, and Laysha made sure our table was always taken care of. Even when the place got busy, she stayed professional, friendly, and on top of everything. It’s rare to find service that genuinely makes you want to come back, but this was one of those times.
