Marlene's Caribbean Take-Out Restaurant - Lakeland Florida Location

Just had Marlene's brown stew chicken. It was delicious! My husband had oxtails and they were fork tender and not greasy! He's already looking forward to coming back and trying the curry goat, since the ox tails were so delicious! I'm coming back to try the jerk pork! We will definitely be back. Can't wait!

The restaurant sits on the corner in a tiny plaza. The inside is huge and very clean. Pros: curry goat was good, nice portion, nice taste, and cooked well. The owner is really nice and the order was made quick. Cons: Parking can be tough if full, the rice/beans were a little to hard, and the sauce wasn't thick enough for me so I barely had any sauce. Overall the food was decent.

I stopped there to get two ox and two curry goat all of them had too much salt they were was salty. I literally purchased two bottle water and drink it right there in the store I didn’t even finish my plate that’s how bad day was wherever‘s cooking that food need to be careful with the salt and the oil I will add pictures for you guys to see even on the cabbage they put so much oil in it you’re trying to give people diabetes

Just order food from here, curry goat and white rice no salad I did not tamper with food apon arrival, I just opened bag open plate and took a picture. You be the judge of your first reaction to the plate. - I got my money back from uber eats but lost my tip money

I’m plant based and the cabbage and rice and peas (red beans and rice) are amazing; seasoned very well, I look forward to tasting the plantains! I’m very satisfied with the quality of the food it’s flavorful.
