We chose Marlin Moon for our two-year anniversary and planned an entire staycation around this dinner because of the amazing reputation. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were kindly accommodated. The hostess acknowledged our anniversary and specifically said she would seat us somewhere with some privacy, placing us at a corner table away from the other guests. That thoughtful start made us feel special and set the tone for what we hoped would be an intimate celebration. Our server Emily was warm, attentive, and efficient, and we truly appreciated her service throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the experience declined from there. Marlin Moon is one of my absolute favorite places in Ocean City — a true must-visit every time I’m in town. The moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the tone: coastal, relaxed, yet elevated, with beautiful scenery that makes the entire dining experience feel special. By now, I’ve tried almost everything on the menu (including a few dishes they sadly no longer offer), and I can honestly say the food here never disappoints. My all-time favorites are the lobster tail and Freddie’s Seafood Pasta — both are consistently fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Maybe it's was because it's the off season (though not really an excuse), but this was by far the worst food I had in Ocean City. Ordered the crab cake with risotto and it was probably the worst risotto I've ever eaten. Risotto should be creamy, it should run on the plate if tilted. This had the consistency of playdough. A thick, pasty, lukewarm heap of reheated cheesy rice with some room temperature peppers dropped on it, and a crabcake that was still cold in the middle from when they reheated it. ....Yum. 2 stars because at least the wine wasn't corked and the server seemed like a nice kid.

Discovered this place for the first time last night when we came into town for a mini staycation after getting married this weekend. Staff was so friendly and all around amazing. Husband and I agreed, it was easily the best meal either of us had ever had. Will be back!

Located inside the Double Tree Hotel the restaurant did not disappoint regarding service and food. Wait time was limited and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The steak was full of flavor and perfectly cooked (medium). It was seasoned with a garlic butter sauce. I also purchased the 5 oz crab cake which was delicious and packed with lump meat and very little filler. My friend ordered the lobster dish and was very pleased with the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.
