Marx Barbecue & Catering

Marx catered our wedding and we could have not asked for better food! Barbecue is one of my favorite foods and the did not disappoint! All of my guests loved the food just as much as we did! They were professional with our wedding and took care of all set up and clean up, even the next day. The salad is amazing! All of it was so good! Would highly recommend for a large event!

Thought we’d try this bbq. It was “OK”. The sauce on the pork was very tomato sauce like and not very BBQ like. I thought I’d try the chili but it was mostly liquid and not much, if any, meat or beans or any substance to it. It tasted fine, but was slim on substance. The sides were fine, but again overall unimpressive on BBQ standards. The staff that we dealt with were very nice and friendly. However I will not be going back.

I just moved to Evansville in April. I had never heard of this place until I started taking care of a client through my work. Her & her husband had me try the Turkey Salad & now it’s my addiction. I get one every chance I can! So good!

I am writing a new review as I have never felt so unwelcome in a business in my life. I have been a customer for 50 years. So I went in today and asked if they had any rye bread because they did have the Amish bread and it was good. The girl behind the counter told me it wasn’t her problem and she didn’t care. I said do you have any bread and she said no and again it’s not my problem. What! You are a bbq place and don’t have any bread. I wish I would have walked out and left my food on the counter. I paid her the 40.00 and she said ok and walked back into the kitchen with not a thank you or anything. I will never ever go back here. 50 years and that’s what I got.

The size of the portions of food you get for the pricing is unbelievable. Bbq is fantastic. Great job.
