Masala Bay has the most wonderful, fresh Indian cuisine, perfectly seasoned. The Tandoori Salmon is the best I have ever tasted, hand grilled to perfection - moist on the inside and lightly seasoned and grilled on the edges and outside. The Daal Takka is light and nourishing, with fresh spices aromatic pleasing to all senses. The atmosphere is incredible - clean with banks of windows that open out to views of the sound. The sound front decks and dog friendly yard wrap around the building and gardens and give you the experience of watching sunset views or moon rising over the water, and listen to the gently lapping waves. I love this Restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff is welcoming and kind. I always try new things when I’m there and every appetizer and entree has been great. My favorite is the Lamb Korma. It is a lovely dish rich in aromas and flavors. Just the right amount of curry with a beautiful creamy texture - perfect for dipping my naan. It is located right on the water with picture perfect views of the sound. This is a Must Go!!!!

We had a great dining experience here on 12/6/25. Everything we ordered was excellent, and the service was also superb. The look/feel of the restaurant was very comfortable. This was in December, so too cold to sit on the deck. We ordered: - Samosa appetizer - Chana Masala - Paneer Saag - Garlic Naan - Taj Mahal beer They offer 4 levels of heat: mild, medium, hot, and "Indian hot". I like spicy, but have had some dishes which were to hot in the past, so I went with "hot". It was perfect - very hot (made my head sweat), but not so hot as to be unpleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant, and look forward to dining on the deck overlooking the sound in warmer weather.

Very good restaurant! Highly recommend if you are looking for something a little different on the beach. It also has some of the best views you could ask for! Will definitely be going back!

Kind Service | Delicious food | Beautiful view We have been driving past Masala Bay for years, on the way to our vacation. This year, we decided to finally try it. The restaurant was not too crowded, when we visited (a little after 5pm on a Tuesday night). The staff greeted us warmly, including the chef, and showed us to our table with a great vista of the water. We started with an order of the toasted garlic naan. And we split our entrees, shrimp korma and butter chicken, which were large portions that came with plenty rice. The waitress spent time telling us the story of the restaurant and we finished with a small plate of gulab jamun. Overall, one of the best experiences and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for some Indian cuisine.
