If you’re looking for an escape from the DTLA hustle, Massilia is it. The design is stunning, high ceilings, incredible light, and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to the Mediterranean. It is easily one of the most beautiful spots in the city, hitting that perfect "chic but welcoming" note. Whether you’re there for the drinks or just to soak in the atmosphere, the energy is spot on. It’s a gorgeous space that I’ll definitely be returning to!
Massilia's original location was one of my favorite places when I first moved to LA, and they have only improved with their move to DTLA. The atmosphere is classy and wonderful - it's an excellent date night spot. The food is impeccable. We have tried several items on the menu, and we've loved everything, but I especially recommend the king prawns. Everything we've tried has been to die for. Excellent service and food that is on par with very nice, expensive restaurants like Castaway for a far more reasonable price. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Massilia is a wonderful and sorely needed addition to Grand Ave in DTLA. The space is beautiful, the food is delicious and the drinks are nice. It’s just the spot to go to before a show, after the show or if you just want to have a chill Sunday afternoon on Grand. Try the Umani Martini. It’s refreshing and clean. The hamburger is excellent (add the bacon and avocado, you won’t regret it) and the sea bass with the carrot purée is perfection. Check out the little market A Cotê. It’s nicely curated and you can get an excellent cappuccino and pastry for your morning walk. Overall a wonderful experience.
We’ve been looking forward to Massilia’s opening for quite some time and we were not disappointed! From the drinks to the mains and desserts, the everything is full of flavor and thoughtfully made. There’s something on the menu for everyone. We went for dinner but they have a whole breakfast and coffee bar situation happening as well, so I’m looking forward to giving that a go soon. In sum: the atmosphere is lovely, the food is delicious, and the staff are delightful (merci beaucoup, Jean-Luc)!
It is so nice to finally see this place open ! The atmosphere in here is amazing, the staff is friendly and catered to our every requests. This is a neighbourhood gem. I recommend this spot in Downtown Los Angeles.
