Matcha Town

I stopped by Matcha Town during their soft opening and really enjoyed it. The place has a calm, modern green vibe and feels very welcoming. We tried a few things — the pink guava matcha, salted cheese matcha float, and some gelato flavors — and everything was super creamy and flavorful. The guava matcha was my favorite because the fruity flavor paired really nicely with the matcha without being too sweet. You can tell the matcha quality is good. The staff was friendly, service was smooth, and the overall experience was great. It’s a nice new spot in Cupertino if you enjoy matcha or just want to try something different. I’ll definitely be back to try more flavors.

Huge line on a Saturday…looked intimidating but it isn’t too bad. It’s a slightly confusing process and there’s no staff to explain everything 1. You wait in line to order at the kiosk. While you can order online as well, that’s only for drinks. So you’re stuck waiting if you want gelato. I recommend ordering online if you only want a drink 2. If you ordered gelato on the kiosk, you proceed to wait in another line that’s usually much shorter. They will verify that you ordered gelato on the kiosk. You can try flavors here as well. 3. If you ordered a drink, it will probably take another 10-15 minutes of waiting inside before they call your number. So eat your gelato! The matcha ice cream was good. This is a gelato shop with excellent flavors. Their cakes are very delicate and beautifully made. My favorite is the pineapple passion fruit one, which has a very rich and fruity flavor. Their packaging is very elegant. The shop smells wonderful inside. The staff are very patient. It’s very busy on weekends and you may need to wait in line, but it’s a nice place for socializing.

It was my first time in the Bay Area, and I tried Matcha Town. The whole experience was awesome and a really nice place to visit. I live far away, so it was my first time going there, and I was excited to try it. The drinks tasted really good, especially the matcha, which was fresh and flavorful. The place also had a nice atmosphere and felt welcoming. Even though it was my first time, I had a great experience and would definitely visit again if I’m in the area.

Really good matcha, especially the gelato has a deep matcha flavor. Definitely more decadent and satisfying than the typical matcha soft serve. We ordered two scoops, one of matcha 4 and one of 5 (meant to be the deepest matcha flavor) and both were good. I would definitely come back again to try more flavors. Matcha drinks themselves are good, but not notably better than other matcha spots in the area.
